Relative Volume Indicator
Posted by Jennifer Friday, March 28, 2008 4:46 AM

The new relative volume indicator measures the cumulated volume from today's open up until the present time against its 3-month average. For example a value of 0.8 at 11:00AM means that from opening until 11:00AM, 0.8x the average amount of stocks have been traded for given time range. Above-average values combined with the price change help detect stock's momentum. The relative volume value for the whole market can by analyzed on index charts, or for each particular ticker on market maps.

I just ran across your site and have to say I'm duly impressed. I have a couple of questions.

1. Is the data real time or delayed 15 minutes?

2. Do you have plans to add Monthly timeframes to charts and add indicators to charts?

Keep up the good work!

Hi Jennifer, I found your site via tradermike. The screener is great and the maps are very cool. I stumbled the screener because I think the chart tab is very useful. Good Luck!
