Aloha! I just found out about FinViz from a fellow trader at iBC. Man, this is one impressive tool! My trading style is "wave-trading." I use a lot of surf analogies to make trading fun. I've been showing people how to trade based on "waves" or momentum, and FinViz allows you to find "surf spots" (where all the momentum is) real easily! I surf long, or short. From now on I will use FinViz as a part of my surf reports. FinViz is perfect for my style, so if you want, you can catch me over at my iBankCoin tab www.ibankcoin.com/gioblog for real time swing trades, or over at WallStreak for day-trades. My personal website is www.thehawaiitrader.com where I post weekly summaries. Good job FinViz, and happy trading fellow stock surfers! Mucho MaHaLo... =gio= aka, theHawaiiTrader

I posted some swing trading and day trading ideas for Thursday 8/20 over at iBC: http://ibankcoin.com/gioblog/?p=1669I call them "surf reports". As any surfer would do every morning, check to find where the surf spots are... likewise, every night, I scan charts using different variables, news items, etc etc to find out which sectors are hot for a trade. Then I put up a list of "IF-THEN" scenarios. You take it from there. ;-)

Hey guys... watch the LoW VoLuMe across the indexes in the past 8-10 trading days. You probably want to head into September short. Currently the Vix is trading below 20, and I am looking for a spike lower to enter shorts. If you have any short ideas, let me know!
Also watch China... there may be continued weakness, but its tough to short here. There's a lot of money on the sidelines that is ready to jump back into chinese related sectors.
ALoHa!

Very low volume action across the boards last week. I am expecting more of the same this week. Keep your trades tight, that means smaller positions, smaller stop losses, and quick profits!
Watchlist: FSYS, AFAM, BABY, SOL, YGE, ICE, NYX, CME, TBSI, DRYS, TNH, IPI, POT, GMXR, HK, CLR, CF.

Dow -240, Vix +11%... here are your bottom 5 industries. I posted my analysis on my blog, using FinViz as a stock screening tool! Write these down, and watch them when volume picks up on all indexes. I will short these stocks when volume picks up near resistance levels. http://www.thehawaiitrader.com/2008/08/bottom-5-industries-for-dow-240-vix-11.html
