Has anybody got any preferences for stock screening software? I am new to this site, have picked up some great ideas from your posts but am having a heck of a time "fine tuning" my screening criteria. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rick

PS
A lot of good common sense is on this site.

I don't have anything very detailed yet but will soon hopefully. My base screener's filters are based on a list of stocks that I would be comfortable trading. For example: Price >$4, Market Cap >$300m, Average Volume >400K. That way I can use the sorting features and see what's moving, what's oversold, etc. I plan on going back and maybe creating other presets in the future but just haven't got around to it.

P.S. We'll see the Second Great Depression soon.

have a look at:http://www.stockfetcher.com . All you can ever wish is there, the fee is ridiculously low.

I like to screen stocks by their current position in various High/Low ranges and find the 20-day, 50-day, 52-week High/Low filters quite indispensable. Usually, I add them on top of the basic presets with minimum volume, price and market cap.

If you'd like an ultra-complete screener with a great track record, try AAII's Stock Screener Pro. It's around $200/yr.

Are there any screening tools that provide non-delayed price and volume?
I'm considering FinViz*Elite for realtime quotes mainly.
Thx.

Finviz's quotes are realtime only in the sense they refresh every 30-60 seconds...
