| Citigroup Inc., a diversified financial services holding company, provides various financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, wealth management, and transaction services to consumers, corporations, governments, and institutions worldwide. The company operates through two business segments, Citicorp and Citi Holdings. The Citicorp segment consists of Global Consumer Banking (GCB) business, which comprises five primary business units: Retail Banking, Citi Branded Cards, Citi Mortgage, Citi Commercial Bank, and Retail Services. It operates through 4,008 branches in 39 countries in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific. This segment also includes Institutional Clients Group (ICG) business that provides securities and banking services comprising investment banking and advisory services, lending, debt and equity sales and trading, institutional brokerage, derivative services, and private banking; and transaction services consisting of cash management and trade finance services, securities services, custody and clearing services, and depository and agency/trust services. The Citi Holdings segment consists of Brokerage and Asset Management, Local Consumer Lending, and Special Asset Pool. Citigroup, Inc. was founded in 1812 and is based in New York, New York. |
