How do I start my free trial?

New accounts

Sign up for a Finviz account, then choose a plan and payment method to activate your free 7-day Elite trial.

Existing accounts

  • Log in with your free Finviz account.
  • On the Pricing page, click “Try Elite Free for 7 Days”
  • Choose your plan and payment method. You’ll get immediate access to all Elite features for 7 days and won’t be charged until the trial ends.

Do I need a credit card to start a trial?

Yes. A credit card is required to begin your free 7-day Elite trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends, and you can cancel anytime before it expires.

What happens after my trial ends?

After 7 days, your subscription automatically renews as a paid Elite subscription using the payment method provided at signup. You can cancel anytime before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

Managing Your Subscription

Is the subscription renewed automatically?

  • Free trial: automatically renews as a paid subscription after 7 days using the payment method provided at signup. You can cancel anytime before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
  • Paid plans: unless subscription is cancelled, monthly and annual Elite plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period.

My credit card details have changed. Where should I update them?

I subscribed through Paypal
If there are any changes made to your credit card details, please do update them directly in your Paypal account. In case the automatic charging of your credit card fails due to any reason, Paypal will make two more attempts to renew your subscription. After the last unsuccessful attempt your subscription is cancelled and Elite access denied.

I paid directly with my credit card
In order to update your credit card details, click on the Update payment methods on the Pricing page.

How to cancel my subscription?

  • During your trial: Use the Subscription page to cancel anytime before the trial ends and avoid being charged. You’ll keep Elite access until the trial period ends.
  • Paid subscribers: follow the instructions on the Subscription page. Cancelling stops the next auto-renewal; you’ll keep Elite access until the end of your current prepaid period.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime I want?

Yes, there is no time restriction for cancelling your account. Cancelling during the subscription period prevents you from being charged for the next cycle.

How to upgrade my Monthly subscription plan to the Annual one?

Firstly, please cancel your Monthly subscription. Your Elite access is guaranteed until the end of the prepaid period. Right after the expiration, you will be able to purchase the Annual subscription on the Pricing page.

You do not have to worry about losing your saved data. The data is linked to your account (email address) and can be accessible after upgrading.

How can I renew my Elite account? Will I lose any saved data?

For a renewal, please sign in your Finviz account and simply purchase a subscription on the Pricing page again. The data that was saved on the corresponding account in the past would become accessible after upgrading.

Where can I change my email address and password?

Your email address and password can be changed in Settings → Login.
The Settings page is accessible through your Profile icon in the top-right corner.
