By Odysight.ai Inc. | July 24, 2025, 8:30 AM

OMER, Israel, July 24, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Odysight.ai Inc. (NASDAQ: ODYS) has completed the delivery of a vision-based monitoring system for the Heron TP UAV, a remotely piloted aircraft system ("RPAS"). The system, developed by Odysight.ai for Israel’s Ministry of Defense (MOD), provides advanced remote monitoring capabilities using unique algorithms and a miniature sensor-based optical system.

The integration is designed to support improved engine health monitoring and mission assurance, tailored specifically to the PT6A-67 engine by Pratt & Whitney. The integration is part of a broader effort to enhance airworthiness and operational safety in the Israeli Air Force.

The system is designed to serve dual-use purposes for both defense and civil applications. The Company is leveraging its expertise in AI-based visual diagnostics for predictive maintenance to bring innovation to the defense sector.

According to Yehu Ofer, CEO of Odysight.ai: “The system we’ve developed is tailored to the unique requirements of our customer and enables remote visual monitoring of hard-to-access engine areas, even during flight. This represents a significant technological achievement and we believe this affirms the system’s reliability and durability under real-world operational conditions.”

This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Directorate of Defense Research and Development (MAFAT), which promotes the integration of civilian startup capabilities into advanced defense applications and contributes to strengthening Israel’s technological advantage.
