The Week Ahead: Nike, Micron Put a Bow on 2025 Earnings

We are rounding the final corner to close out the year, with the coming week the last full trading week for 2025. The final few earnings reports will be led by blue chip Nike (NKE), while a flood of economic data will also make its way through Wall Street. Some of the reports due include retail sales, S&P flash U.S. purchasing managers index (PMI) readings, consumer price index (CPI) data, and home sales.

Earnings are pared back with the holiday season approaching, but a few worthwhile names are still slated to close out 2025. On the list is BlackBerry (BB), Conagra (CAG), CarMax (KMX), Darden Restaurants (DRI), FedEx (FDX), KB Home (KBH), Lennar (LEN), Micron Technology (MU), Nike, and Paychex (PAYX).

Below is the schedule of key market events for the week ahead. All economic dates are tentative and subject to change. Some reports may be delayed or combined due to the government shutdown.

The week starts off on Monday, Dec. 15 with the Empire State manufacturing survey and home builder confidence index.

Tuesday, Dec. 16, will be a busy one, with the U.S. unemployment rate, hourly wages, and retail sales due out. The S&P flash services and manufacturing PMI readings will also appear alongside business inventories.

Nothing is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 17.

Weekly jobs data, blanket CPI and core CPI will arrive Thursday, Dec. 18. Also on deck is the Philadelphia Fed manufacturing survey.

Friday, Dec. 19 will carry existing home sales and the final consumer sentiment reading for December.
