BTQ Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:BTQ) is set to get a boost in visibility among U.S. thematic investors after the quantum security company was included in the WisdomTree Quantum Computing Fund (BATS:WQTM), an ETF focused on the rapidly evolving quantum computing landscape.

A Boost From A Niche Quantum ETF

WQTM is designed to track the WisdomTree Classiq Quantum Computing Index, which was developed jointly with a company focused on the field of quantum software, Classiq. The index applies a proprietary methodology to measure the "relevance" and "purity" of a company's exposure to the field of quantum computing. It combines companies focused on the field with other large tech companies that are making significant contributions to the field.

Launched in October 2025, the fund is focused on the evolution of the field from the experimental phase into the commercialization phase. As of Feb. 27, WQTM had $26.4 million in assets under management and an expense ratio of 0.45%, making it a low-cost way for investors to access a highly specialized theme.

Why BTQ Made The Cut

BTQ is focused on delivering mission-critical networks in a world where quantum computing is the reality. It is developing a vertically integrated solution stack with applications in the financial industry, telecommunications, logistics, life sciences and defense.

CEO Olivier Roussy Newton said the inclusion highlights growing investor interest in targeted quantum exposure as commercialization edges closer. He also stressed the importance of infrastructure and cryptographic resilience, areas where BTQ is concentrating its efforts, as foundational components of the broader quantum stack.

BTQ has established itself as a full-stack neutral atom quantum computing company with a growing patent portfolio and research into achieving commercially relevant quantum advantage.

ETF Exposure As A Visibility Engine

For smaller or emerging quantum firms, inclusion in a thematic ETF can serve as more than a symbolic milestone. It can enhance liquidity, introduce the stock to new investor channels and tie its performance to broader flows into the theme.

While WQTM remains modest in size compared to broader tech or AI-focused funds, its targeted mandate reflects a growing appetite among investors to gain early exposure to quantum computing — a field many view as the next frontier after artificial intelligence.

As the industry inches toward real-world applications, companies like BTQ are increasingly finding themselves on the radar of ETF providers seeking to map the future of computing in tradable form.
