In the latest trading session, Macy's (M) closed at $18.27, marking a -4.79% move from the previous day. This move lagged the S&P 500's daily loss of 1.33%. Elsewhere, the Dow saw a downswing of 0.95%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq depreciated by 1.59%.

The department store operator's shares have seen a decrease of 10.83% over the last month, not keeping up with the Retail-Wholesale sector's loss of 2.54% and the S&P 500's gain of 0.58%.
