Hewlett Reports Q1 Earnings: EPS Beats, Revenue Misses, Raises FY EPS Outlook

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company (NYSE:HPE) reported first-quarter financial results after the market closed on Monday. Here’s a look at the key highlights from the quarter.

Earnings Per Share Beats Estimates, Revenue Misses

Hewlett reported adjusted earnings per share of 65 cents, beating the consensus estimate of 55 cents. In addition, the company reported revenue of $9.30 billion, missing the consensus estimate of $9.33 billion.

Networking revenue totaled $2.7 billion, rising 151.5% from the prior-year period. Cloud & AI revenue totaled $6.3 billion, down 2.7% year over year.

Corporate Investments and Other revenue totaled $261 million, down 2.2% from the prior-year period.

Cash flow from operations totaled $1.2 billion and free cash flow reached $700 million.

Hewlett returned $348 million to shareholders during the quarter through dividends and share repurchases.

The company also declared a regular cash dividend of 14.25 cents per share, payable on or about April 23, 2026, to stockholders of record as of March 24, 2026.

Looking ahead, the company expects second-quarter adjusted earnings per share of 51 cents to 55 cents, versus the consensus estimate of 53 cents. Furthermore, it anticipates revenue of $9.60 billion to $10.00 billion, versus the consensus estimate of $9.58 billion.

Hewlett raised its fiscal-year adjusted earnings per share guidance from between $2.25 and $2.45 to between $2.30 and $2.50, versus the consensus estimate of $2.35. It affirmed its fiscal-year revenue guidance of $40.12 billion and $41.84 billion, versus the consensus estimate of $40.82 billion.
