Nasdaq Pushes Past Geopolitical Tensions, Eyes 9-Straight

By Patrick Martin | April 13, 2026, 11:55 AM

Wall Street is attempting to brush off the latest geopolitical drama to start the week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) was last seen down triple digits, as Goldman Sachs' (GS) post-earnings reaction weighs. The Nasdaq Composite (IXIC) has pivoted higher after opening in the red, however, eyeing a ninth consecutive win as the S&P 500 Index (SPX) stalls at breakeven.

Oil prices remain a concern with the Strait of Hormuz now blockaded by the U.S. navy, keeping Brent crude above $100 per barrel. Elsewhere, Bitcoin (BTC) is pulling back, last seen breaching $70,000.

  • Biotech stock scaling the Nasdaq today.
  • Best Buy stock nears 52-week lows after downgrade.
  • Plus, NOK call traders piling on; lithium stock soars; and Conagra's C-suite shakeup.
