New long-term crude oil marketing agreements increase Vivakor’s recurring commercial platform to approximately 18.4 million barrels annually, expanding its integrated energy business.
Vivakor (NASDAQ:VIVK) announced the execution of two additional long-term recurring physical crude oil marketing programs that are expected to add approximately $400 million in annualized commercial activity.
The agreements increase the company’s previously announced crude oil marketing platform to approximately $1.5 billion in annualized commercial activity, based on current commodity price assumptions. The new programs cover approximately 500,000 barrels of crude oil per month, bringing Vivakor’s total recurring marketing platform to approximately 1.54 million barrels monthly, or about 18.4 million barrels annually.
The contracts are scheduled to run from August 1, 2026, through July 31, 2027. According to the company, the expansion more than doubles the size of its announced commercial marketing platform within a matter of weeks as it continues to build a larger recurring crude oil marketing business.
Vivakor also emphasized that its supply and trading operations complement its broader portfolio of transportation, storage, terminaling, and environmental services.
The expanded commercial platform demonstrates continued growth in Vivakor’s supply and trading business and suggests the company is securing additional long-term customer relationships within the physical crude oil market.
A larger recurring marketing platform may increase utilization of Vivakor’s integrated infrastructure assets while strengthening its position across multiple segments of the energy value chain. The longer-term contracts could also improve revenue visibility over the coming year.
However, investors should distinguish between total commercial activity and financial performance. Vivakor noted that, as a physical commodity marketer, it recognizes only a small percentage of the total contract value as gross profit because it serves as an intermediary in these transactions. As a result, the reported revenue opportunity does not translate directly into earnings, and profitability will continue to depend on transaction margins, commodity prices, market conditions, and delivered volumes.
