Oracle (NYSE:ORCL) shares rallied 9.22% on Monday, August 3, extending their recent recovery and lifting the stock’s gain over the past week to 18.25%.

The strong advance reflected a combination of improving market sentiment, renewed enthusiasm for artificial intelligence-related technology stocks and company-specific developments that strengthened investor confidence.

Improved Risk Appetite Supports Equities

A broader shift towards risk assets helped drive Oracle higher after President Donald Trump cancelled planned military strikes against Iran, easing geopolitical concerns and supporting gains across major U.S. equity markets.

The improved market backdrop encouraged investors to return to growth-oriented technology shares, particularly companies with significant exposure to artificial intelligence.

AI Rally Continues to Lift Technology Stocks

Momentum across the AI sector also provided a tailwind for Oracle.

Technology stocks received additional support after Amazon’s market value climbed above $3 trillion, while Microsoft’s latest quarterly results highlighted continued strength in its cloud computing business, reinforcing optimism surrounding AI infrastructure and enterprise software.

Expanded Google Cloud Partnership Adds Momentum

Oracle also benefited from company-specific news after announcing an expansion of its partnership with Google Cloud.

The enhanced collaboration will integrate Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence models into Oracle’s software portfolio, a move that investors viewed as strengthening the company’s position in the rapidly growing enterprise AI market.

Recovery Continues Despite Earlier Sell-Off

Although Oracle has rebounded strongly in recent sessions, the stock remains well below previous highs.

Shares fell sharply over recent months, dropping more than 60% from their peak before reaching a 52-week low at the end of July. The latest rally suggests investors are becoming more optimistic about the company’s long-term prospects, although the stock has yet to recover all of its earlier losses.
