Monday, August 24 is quiet on the data front, with no major U.S. economic reports scheduled.
Tuesday, August 25 brings the S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index for June, July new home sales, and August consumer confidence data.
Wednesday, August 26 is the heaviest day of the week, bringing durable goods orders, the second estimate of second-quarter gross domestic product (GDP), personal income and consumer spending data. The Fed's preferred inflation gauges, the personal consumption expenditures (PCE) and core PCE price indexes, are also due out.
Thursday, August 27 features weekly initial jobless claims, the advance U.S. trade balance in goods, wholesale and retail inventories, and the Kansas City Fed manufacturing survey.
Friday, August 28 rounds out the week with the Chicago Business Barometer (PMI) and the final University of Michigan consumer sentiment survey.
