Paramount Acquisition Suffers More Delays

  • The controversial acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) by Paramount Skydance Corp (NASDAQ:PSKY) is seeing another delay this morning, after the California attorney general canceled a scheduled meeting related to its lawsuit against the merger. PSKY is down 1.4% in response.
  • The lawsuit was filed by Rob Bonta, with settlement talks scheduled to begin today. Talks were called off, however, with Bonta citing bad faith by the streamer. The deal could now be delayed until at least late 2027.

UPS Ships Its Way to Healthcare

  • Shipping behemoth United Parcel Service Inc (NYSE:UPS) is moving 0.3% higher today, after sharing news it plans to invest over $2 billion in its supply chain business for international healthcare. 
  • UPS has consolidated around the $102 area since pulling back last week to its lowest mark since late May. 

Bitcoin Can't Slow Down

  • Bitcoin (BTC) is still making considerable noise for a digital currency that has already been on a tear up the charts for over a week. Now trading at $79,062, the crypto name is today enjoy the rise in ETF inflows and extended gains from its recent breakout.
