Werner to Ring Nasdaq Closing Bell to Commemorate 70 Years of Service and 40 Years as a Publicly Traded Company

(Nasdaq: WERN), a premier transportation and logistics provider, announced it will commemorate two major company milestones on Thursday, Aug. 27, when Chairman and CEO Derek Leathers rings the Closing Bell at the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square.

The ceremony will mark Werner’s 70th anniversary since its founding in 1956, as well as 40 years as a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq Stock Market. Joining Leathers on stage will be more than 50 Werner associates and truck drivers from across North America.
