Cybersecurity Stock Nears Records After Earnings Blowout

By Liliana Orozco | August 27, 2026, 10:59 AM

Shares of CrowdStrike Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:CRWD) are surging 18.7% to trade at $224.60 after the company reported earnings of $0.31 per share on $1.47 billion in revenue, both surpassing Wall Street estimates. CEO George Kurtz labeled it the best quarter in CrowdStrike's history while another raised outlook added to the sentiment.

Today's pop has the stock trading near record levels with CRWD only being 1% off its Aug. 14 all-time high of $227.50. Should these gains hold, the equity will nab its highest close in over a week.

CRWD's Schaeffer's put/call open interest ratio (SOIR) of 1.14 sits in just the 85th percentile of its annual range, suggesting short-term option players have rarely been more call-heavy during the past 12 months.

It's also worth noting the stock's Schaeffer's Volatility Scorecard (SVS) sits at a relatively high 82 out of 100, indicating that the stock has tended to exceed option traders' volatility expectations during the past year.
