3 Trending Stocks Suffering Steep Midday Slides

By Emma Duncan | August 31, 2026, 12:59 PM

Reignited Middle East tensions are triggering a pullback on Wall Street. Beyond the geopolitical instability, there are three stocks making sharp moves lower on Wall Street that are worth checking in on.

Early Gains Cut Short at MOVE

  • News of data center expansion drove early morning gains for Corvex Inc (NASDAQ:MOVE), though the stock has since pared those gains, cut short midday at the 60-day moving average.
  • MOVE is down 2.5% at last glance, but has gained 82% in 2026.

GTA Leak Drags Take-Two

  • Video game maker Take-Two Interactive Software (NASDAQ:TTWO) is down 6.6% to trade at $220.15, after a Grand-Theft Auto VI leak called into question the long-awaited rollout. Separately, Circana data shows U.S. video game spending dropped 10% year-over-year last month.
  • TTWO is trading at its lowest level since a mid-June melt up. Year to date, the shares are 14% lower.

Pinterest Slides Amid C-Suite Update

  • Pinterest Inc (NYSE:PINS) is gapping 6.3% lower, last seen at $21.68, after a SEC filing revealed the social media giant's Chief Financial Officer Julia Donnelly will resign from her role on Oct. 30. V.P. of Finance and Business Operations Vikram Naidu will act as an interim successor.
  • Today's drop marks the stock's worst day since Aug. 5 and puts the shares on track for their lowest close since early July. PINS has also slipped below the formerly supportive $22 floor and 200-day moving average.
