Palantir and Nebius Partner on Sovereign AI Infrastructure

By Fiona Craig | September 08, 2026, 9:03 AM

Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ:PLTR) and Nebius Group (NASDAQ:NBIS) have entered into a partnership that will integrate Nebius’s cloud and artificial intelligence computing infrastructure with Palantir’s enterprise platform for commercial customers.

Under the agreement, Palantir has selected Nebius as its preferred sovereign AI infrastructure partner, with the companies aiming to give eligible customers greater control over the computing resources, data and models used to run artificial intelligence applications.

Following an integration period, Nebius compute resources and inference endpoints are expected to become available within the Palantir enterprise perimeter.

Partnership Targets Greater Control Over AI Models and Data

The integration is designed to allow eligible Palantir customers to access Nebius’s cloud and inference infrastructure while maintaining control over their compute environments, proprietary data and AI models.

Customers will also be able to deploy open models using Nebius infrastructure and adapt those models with their own proprietary information for specific applications.

The arrangement combines Palantir’s enterprise software and ontology capabilities with Nebius’s AI infrastructure as companies increasingly seek computing environments that offer both large-scale performance and greater control over sensitive data and models.

Alex Karp, co-founder and CEO of Palantir, said: “Nebius’ compute infrastructure powers your ability to run your own AI models under conditions you control. Our ontology and their infrastructure will undergird the sovereignty our partners are demanding.”

Palantir and Nebius Plan Additional Compute Capacity

The companies also intend to accelerate the deployment of new computing capacity for Palantir customers.

This could include modular data-centre installations at locations where power infrastructure is already available, potentially allowing additional AI capacity to be deployed without relying solely on conventional large-scale data-centre development.

Arkady Volozh, founder and CEO of Nebius, said: “Organizations need both the performance of large-scale AI infrastructure and control over their data and models. Together with Palantir, we are bringing this to commercial clients enabling them to run their optimized open models on trusted infrastructure.”

The partnership expands the infrastructure options available to Palantir’s commercial customers while giving Nebius another route for deploying its cloud and AI computing capacity within enterprise environments.
