Roku (NASDAQ:ROKU) and the National Football League are expanding NFL Zone, the league’s content hub within the Roku Sports experience, to Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
The expansion extends NFL Zone beyond the U.S. and follows the rollout of Roku Sports in Mexico in 2025 and in Canada and Brazil earlier this year.
NFL Zone brings together live and upcoming games, highlights from the NFL Fast Channel, video clips and other league content within Roku’s sports platform.
Roku said streaming hours across its Sports experiences increased 122% year over year, while the number of unique U.S. visitors rose 80% during the second quarter.
NFL Channel expands to international markets
The companies are also making the NFL Channel available in the U.K., Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
The free, ad-supported service provides NFL programming around the clock. According to the company, the expansion marks the first time international viewers will have free access to the channel’s 24-hour content.
“With the NFL Zone, we’re bringing the League’s content together in one place,” said Joe Franzetta, Head of Sports, Roku Media. “We’ve seen the success of the NFL Zone domestically, and we’re excited to bring that experience to Canada, Mexico, and Brazil this season.”
U.S. viewers retain access to NFL+ through NFL Zone
In the U.S., Roku users will continue to have access to the NFL App and NFL Channel through NFL Zone.
The offering includes access to NFL+, which provides live local and primetime games on mobile devices, NFL Network, live game audio and on-demand programming.
NFL+ Premium additionally provides access to game replays and NFL RedZone.
The international expansion broadens the geographic availability of NFL content through Roku as the company reports increased usage of its sports-focused streaming experience.
