Lyft, Inc. (NASDAQ:LYFT) appointed Michael Brous as Chief Financial Officer, effective September 28, 2026, succeeding Erin Brewer, who will retire from the position on the same date.
Brewer will remain with Lyft as an advisor through December 15, 2026, to support the transition.
The company said Brewer’s departure is not the result of any dispute or disagreement with Lyft, its board or management.
Brous has spent nearly eight years at Lyft
Brous, 39, has worked at Lyft for nearly eight years and most recently served as Head of Lyft Urban Solutions and Safety & Customer Care, a position he has held since November 2025.
He previously served as Head of Lyft Urban Solutions from September 2023 to November 2025.
His other positions at Lyft have included Head of Strategy and Growth and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis.
Before joining Lyft, Brous was Vice President of Finance at bike-sharing company Motivate International Inc., which Lyft acquired in 2018.
Earlier in his career, he held roles at REQX Ventures LLC, Versa Capital Management and Financo, Inc.
Brous holds a B.S. in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
