Palantir and Fujitsu Renew AI Partnership and Expand Forward Deployed Engineering Role

By Fiona Craig | September 10, 2026, 9:50 AM

Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ:PLTR) and Fujitsu Limited renewed their strategic partnership, with Fujitsu entering a new agreement covering Palantir AIP and Palantir Foundry and becoming a Global Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) Partner.

The partnership, which began in 2020, will expand Fujitsu’s investment in deployed engineering capabilities for enterprise customers in Japan and international markets.

Fujitsu plans to combine its AI technologies, including its Takane large language model, with its Uvance offerings and industry expertise to support customers developing customised AI applications using Palantir’s platforms.

According to the companies, Fujitsu previously deployed a supply-chain resilience solution for a Japanese manufacturer using Palantir’s platform. The system integrated data from more than 3,000 suppliers and 18 factories.

The customer reported more than $10 million in cost savings within one year and a doubling of operational productivity, according to the announcement.

Fujitsu Expands FDE Capabilities

“Fujitsu is investing in the deployed engineering capabilities needed to help enterprises build custom AI applications and models on AIP and Foundry, grounded in their own data, workflows, and governed within their own operational environments,” said Kevin Kawasaki, Global Head of Business Development at Palantir Technologies.

Yoshinami Takahashi, Corporate Executive Officer and Corporate Vice President at Fujitsu, said the company has built “an FDE framework capable of rapidly delivering results at customer sites, going beyond the simple introduction of technology,” adding that Fujitsu’s FDE professionals have received recognition from customers in Japan and overseas.

Fujitsu reported consolidated revenue of 3.5 trillion yen, equivalent to approximately $23 billion, for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026.
