Tenet Healthcare Shares Fall 2.3% After Director Sells $2.63 Million of Stock

Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE:THC) shares fell 2.3% in premarket trading on Tuesday after a regulatory filing showed that director Richard Mark sold 10,000 shares in the healthcare company.

Mark sold the shares on September 10 at a weighted average price of $263.42 each, according to a Form 4 filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The transaction was valued at approximately $2.63 million.

The shares were sold through multiple transactions at prices ranging from $263.15 to $264.03.

Director Retains 25,121 Tenet Shares

Following the transaction, Mark continued to beneficially own 25,121 shares of Tenet Healthcare common stock, according to the filing.

The transaction was executed through an attorney-in-fact arrangement involving Chad J. Wiener.

The filing did not state a reason for the sale. Insider share sales can be undertaken for a range of reasons, and the filing did not indicate whether the transaction reflected Mark’s view of Tenet Healthcare’s future performance.

Tenet Healthcare operates hospitals and other healthcare facilities across the United States.
