IWP Capital to Vote "FOR" FedEx Proposal 6 on Abortion-Drug Distribution Risk

By PR Newswire | September 18, 2026, 9:30 AM

Co-filer urges a board-level risk report as Comstock Act enforcement remains unsettled ahead of the September 28 annual meeting

FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- IWP Capital, LLC, a faith-based service provider and co-filer of Proposal 6 on the FedEx Corporation (NYSE: FDX) 2026 proxy statement, today said it intends to vote FOR the proposal at the company's annual meeting on September 28, 2026. The proposal, Report on Risks Related to Distributing Abortion Drugs, was filed by IWP Capital with the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth and appears in the Stockholder Proposals section of FedEx's proxy statement, beginning on page 104.

The proposal is precatory and procedural. It asks FedEx's board to report, within one year and at reasonable cost, on how it oversees the legal, regulatory, and reputational risks of transporting mail-order abortion drugs such as mifepristone. It does not ask FedEx to stop shipping any lawful product or to inspect packages.

"We are asking a board that emphasizes risk oversight to tell its owners how it is preparing for a criminal statute whose enforcement is genuinely unsettled," said Sam Saladino, Chief Executive Officer of IWP Capital. "Legal uncertainty of this magnitude is itself a material risk. That is why we intend to vote for Proposal 6."

IWP notes the reputational pressure runs both ways — from investors urging continued access and from faith-based coalitions — giving the board a governance reason to document its reasoning. IWP Capital intends to vote FOR Proposal 6 and encourages fellow shareholders to review the proposal and consider doing the same.
