Cerebras Systems (NASDAQ:CBRS) plans to supply AI chips and computing systems with capacity to consume approximately 100 megawatts of power to cloud computing startup Gimlet Labs, the companies said on Monday.
Gimlet plans to use the Cerebras hardware to provide computing capacity for artificial intelligence inference, the process through which AI models generate responses to user requests.
The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Gimlet Plans to Use Cerebras CS-4 Systems
Cerebras will supply its CS-4 systems over a period of one to two years, Chief Executive Officer Andrew Feldman said.
Gimlet plans to make the CS-4 hardware available through its cloud computing platform in 2027 and will be responsible for maintaining and operating the systems following delivery.
The company intends to use the hardware to run frontier AI models, which require substantial computing capacity.
Gimlet CEO Zain Asgar told Reuters that faster inference can be used in areas including cybersecurity, voice applications and financial analysis.
Gimlet plans to offer the computing capacity to companies and startups developing products based on artificial intelligence, Asgar said.
Cerebras CEO Comments on Deployment
Feldman said the agreement was “further validation from Cerebras … of how easy it is to deploy, even in heterogeneous environments,” referring to deploying Cerebras systems alongside hardware from other suppliers.
The agreement comes as AI companies increase their use of hardware designed for inference workloads.
Earlier in 2026, Cerebras entered into an agreement to supply OpenAI with chips, according to the source material.
Nvidia also entered into a licensing agreement with Groq in 2025 covering the company’s chips and hardware.
