Voyager Technologies (NYSE:VOYG) shares rose 6% on Tuesday after the company announced a strategic partnership with Anduril Industries covering the development and production of weapons systems and missile defence technologies.
The agreement formalises an existing collaboration between the two companies across multiple weapons programmes, including several initiatives identified as priorities by the US Department of Defense.
Voyager is contracted to provide Anduril with more than $60 million of technologies, including solid rocket motors, divert and attitude control systems and other components.
Companies Establish Pipeline for Additional Programmes
The partnership establishes a shared pipeline of additional programmes and includes a focus on manufacturing as existing and future programmes progress towards higher production volumes.
Voyager and Anduril said they plan to use their respective investments in testing and manufacturing infrastructure to support production.
The companies’ engineering and development operations in Southern California are also located in close proximity, which they said is intended to support design, integration, prototyping and development work across weapons systems.
Anduril and Voyager Expand Manufacturing Capacity
Anduril is constructing a 1.18 million-square-foot campus in Long Beach, California, which is scheduled to open in 2027.
The facility will add to Anduril’s existing production operations at its Arsenal-1 site in Columbus, Ohio.
Voyager, meanwhile, is developing its American Defense Complex in Pueblo, Colorado. According to the company, the facility could support production of approximately 15,000 to 20,000 propulsion systems per month across its portfolio once fully scaled.
The stated production capacity represents the company’s planned potential output rather than current production levels.
Voyager Cites $500 Million of Investment
“We’ve invested more than $500 million in propulsion, energetics and manufacturing capacity to be ready for exactly this moment,” said Matt Magaña, president, Space, Defense & National Security at Voyager. “This partnership converts that investment into production programs today and positions us for the demand we expect as next-generation missile defense expands nationally.”
The expected demand referenced by Magaña represents Voyager’s outlook and is not a guarantee of future orders or revenue.
The supplied information does not provide financial terms for the broader strategic partnership beyond the more than $60 million of technologies Voyager is contracted to supply to Anduril.
