With the dizzying number of headlines surrounding the AI boom, it can be hard for investors to keep track of what matters. Below are five of this week’s most important AI news items:
Tuesday,Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) shares rose in early trading after CEO Lisa Su said that demand is still running above supply and she expects strong demand for compute to continue for the next several years, with AMD planning to “substantially increase” supply in 2027. Su added that AMD has already increased supply this year but could definitely use more. AMD is working with memory suppliers and customers to ensure capacity comes online together, while keeping its current business model unchanged.
Roughly 80% of Anthropic’s planned $518 billion in cloud and compute spending over the next decade is non-cancelable or payable regardless of how much capacity it actually uses.

Terafab is a massive, vertically integrated semiconductor manufacturing initiative launched by Elon Musk, Tesla (TSLA), and SpaceX (SPCX). The core objective of the Terafab project is to remove the Musk ecosystem’s dependency on traditional, fragmented supply chains by consolidating every stage of chip production under one roof. Terafab will be designed to scale aggressively to meet the unprecedented compute demands of orbital data centers and other Tesla and SpaceX products.
Over the weekend, Elon Musk confirmed that SpaceX and Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM) are in discussions about a potential collaboration. The Taiwanese foundry giant may use Terafab as an anchor client for a future Texas semiconductor facility. A deal with TSMC would be invaluable to SpaceX because TSMC is the undisputed global gold standard in leading-edge lithography. The partnership would dramatically shorten the time to market and reduce the technological risk of getting the complex chips SpaceX needs to market.
This morning, cybersecurity company Zscaler (ZS) reaffirmed Q1 and full-year 2027 guidance. In a CNBC interview, Zscaler CEO Jay Chaudry highlighted the rise of billions of AI agents and their impact on cybersecurity. Chaudry warned that autonomous AI agents will become the primary cybersecurity risk vector in the coming years.
Wells Fargo released a note on Meta Platforms (META) this morning. The analyst maintains their overweight rating on the stock but raised its price target to $1,000 as they see Muse driving a larger long-term AI cycle.
Bottom Line
In another fast-paced week in tech, these developments underscore how foundational infrastructure, robust security, and massive capital commitments continue to drive the global AI expansion.
