Is GE Aerospace (GE) a 'Buy' Ahead of Earnings?

By Bryan Hayes | October 19, 2026, 8:41 AM

Jet engine manufacturer GE Aerospace GE is set to report third-quarter earnings results on Tuesday before the opening bell. A Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) stock, GE surpassed earnings estimates in each of the past four quarters. With shares pulling back over the past few months, is GE stock a buy ahead of this week’s release?

Find the latest EPS estimates and surprises on Zacks Earnings Calendar.

Analysts anticipate the company to post earnings of $2.02 per share, reflecting growth of 21.7% versus the same period in the prior year. Estimates for the quarter have increased 1.5% over the past 60 days. Revenues are projected to climb nearly 12% to $12.65 billion.

GE Aerospace has been witnessing strength across its businesses, driven by robust demand for commercial engines, propulsion and additive technologies. Rising domestic and international defense budgets bode well for the company’s prospects.

Shares have struggled in 2026 with a gain of just 3%, even as the broader market is up by double digits. Another earnings beat may be just what the stock needs to fuel the next leg higher.
