GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE:GEV) shares advanced 2.5% following the release of third-quarter 2026 results that exceeded analyst expectations, supported by higher revenue, improved profitability and strong demand for electricity infrastructure. The company also raised its full-year financial guidance and announced a $9 billion acquisition.
Adjusted earnings per share reached $4.81, exceeding the consensus estimate of $4.00. Revenue increased 27% to $12.64 billion, ahead of analysts’ forecasts of $12 billion, with organic revenue growth of 18%.

Adjusted EBITDA reached $1.9 billion, with a margin of 15.4%, reflecting an organic improvement of 690 basis points.
Chief Executive Officer Scott Strazik attributed the performance to growing demand for electricity infrastructure.
“We delivered strong financial results in the third quarter as demand for electricity infrastructure increases around the world,” Strazik said. “Given our performance and confidence in our trajectory, we are raising our 2026 financial guidance.”
GE Vernova reported $29 billion in quarterly orders, representing organic growth of 96%, supported by equipment demand in its Power business and continued strength in services.
The company’s order backlog increased by $20 billion sequentially to $197 billion.
Cash generated from operating activities reached $6.1 billion during the quarter, while free cash flow totaled $5.4 billion.
The increase in orders and backlog reflected continued demand for the company’s power generation and electricity infrastructure products and services.

The midpoint of $47 billion exceeds the analyst consensus of $46.2 billion.

Full-year free cash flow guidance increased to between $16 billion and $17 billion, up from the earlier forecast of $11.5 billion to $12.5 billion.
GE Vernova’s board increased its share repurchase authorization from $10 billion to $20 billion in October, expanding the company’s capacity to return capital to shareholders.
The company also announced an agreement to acquire Trench Group, a supplier of high-voltage electricity grid equipment, for $9 billion.
The acquisition is expected to close in late 2027 and would expand GE Vernova’s operations in electricity transmission infrastructure.
GE Vernova’s third-quarter results exceeded expectations for both earnings and revenue, while stronger order activity increased its backlog to $197 billion.
The company raised its annual revenue, profitability and free cash flow forecasts, reflecting its latest financial performance and expectations for the remainder of 2026.
