In the third quarter of 2026, Coinbase Global, Inc. (NASDAQ: COIN) reported total revenue of $1.2 billion, net income of $719 million, adjusted EBITDA of $333 million and adjusted net income of $78 million, per the earnings presentation.
Coinbase’s total revenue was stable from Q2 2026, and transaction revenue was $590 million, per the earnings presentation. Net income was $719 million.
Adjusted EBITDA reached $333 million, up 60% Q/Q, marking Coinbase’s 15th consecutive quarter of positive adjusted EBITDA. Coinbase described the drivers this way: “$1.2B total revenue was flat Q/Q against a backdrop of a decline in Total Market Crypto Trading Volume (-10% Q/Q) and flat Average Crypto Market Capitalization,” and “Transaction revenue declined 1% Q/Q as Crypto Asset Volatility reached multi-year lows.”
49% of net revenue came from Subscription and Services revenue in Q3 2026, which was $570 million, per the earnings presentation. That was within Coinbase’s Q3 outlook of $500 million to $580 million, and up from a 41% share of net revenue in Q3 2025.
The lines inside Subscription and Services revenue were stablecoin revenue of $307 million (up 5% Q/Q), blockchain rewards of $86 million (up 3%), interest and finance fee income of $69 million (up 4%) and other Subscription and Services revenue of $109 million (down 4%). Coinbase describes this part of the business as providing “diversification and support independent of transaction revenue.”
Paid Coinbase One subscribers grew 24% Y/Y to an all-time high in Q3 2026, per the earnings presentation.
Coinbase One is Coinbase’s paid subscription product. Paid Coinbase One Subscribers have 3.5x higher average revenue per user, 4.2x higher balances per user and 50%+ higher long-term trading retention than non-subscribers.
Prediction markets surpassed $200 million in annualized revenue (ARR) in Q3 2026, and daily traders (DAU) grew more than 60% Q/Q, per the release.
Prediction markets revenue has seen 82% quarterly compound growth since launch, and Coinbase points to a diversified “contract mix with non-sports categories showing strong growth through seasonally slower sports months.” In the release, Brian Armstrong, Co-Founder and CEO, said: “Prediction markets have been one of the fastest-growing products in Coinbase history, growing even through slower sports months driven by crypto contracts where we have a strong right to win.”
Derivatives sit within what Coinbase calls the Everything Exchange, which it describes as bringing “more markets and products into one place, expanding the ways customers can trade.” In Q3, Coinbase recorded $963 billion in crypto derivatives trading volume, down 6% Q/Q against an 11% decline for the market, and a fourth consecutive quarter of derivatives market share gains.
Average USDC held in Coinbase products was $22 billion in Q3 2026, an all-time high for the 14th consecutive quarter and up 49% Y/Y, per the release.
Stablecoin revenue was $307 million, per the earnings presentation. Coinbase groups USDC under its Stablecoins and Payments priority. Over the past year, Coinbase captured approximately 50% of all USDC economics, with “onchain partnerships and deeper product integration driving greater USDC adoption.”
Coinbase’s Q4 outlook, as stated in the earnings presentation, is about $165 million in transaction revenue quarter-to-date through October 25; $550 million to $630 million in Subscription and Services revenue; transaction expenses in the mid-teens as a percentage of net revenue; $1.007 billion to $1.157 billion in adjusted expenses; and about $240 million in stock-based compensation. Coinbase cautions against extrapolating the quarter-to-date transaction revenue.
