ExxonMobil Holdings Corp (NYSE:XOM) is trading down 3% to trade at $181.61, cooling off from a strong post-earnings rally Friday as crude prices dip. Higher refining profits allowed the company to benefit from rising diesel prices as supply disruptions in Russia and the Middle East tightened supply constraints. No fewer than eight analysts lifted their price targets this morning, including Evercore ISI to $200 from $185.
The oil giant tapped a record high of $188.49 in its last trading session after finding support at the $180 level. Since the start of 2026, the shares have gained 51%, though should today's losses hold, XOM could snap a three-day win streak.
Options traders have been more bearish than usual, however. At the International Securities Exchange (ISE), Cboe Options Exchange (CBOE), and Nasdaq OMX PHLX (PHLX), XOM's 10-day volume ratio ranks in the 100th percentile of its annual range.
The brokerage bunch is leaning slightly bearish too. Of the 26 brokerages covering XOM, 15 carry a "hold" rating, compared to 10 "strong buy" ratings and one "buy" rating.
