Astec Industries, Inc. engages in the design, engineering, manufacture, and marketing of equipment and components used in road building and construction activities. It operates through the following segments: Infrastructure Solutions, Material Solutions, and Corporate and Other. The Corporate and Other segment is involved in the controls and automation business through the firm's parent company, Astec Insurance. The company was founded by J. Don Brock in 1972 and is headquartered in Chattanooga, TN.
