First Trust Balanced Income ETF seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield (before the fund's fees and expenses) of an index called the Bloomberg Moderate Allocation Income Focus Index. Under normal conditions, the fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets in the ETFs that comprise the index. The index seeks to track a portfolio with fixed allocations to income-generating ETFs across three asset classes: target income and buywrite income equity ETFs, actively managed investment grade fixed income ETFs and target income commodities ETFs. The fund is non-diversified.
