Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ:ESLT) on Monday announced that it has secured a sizable U.S. defense contract tied to upgrades for the Army's Bradley Fighting Vehicle.
The company said General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems awarded it a $228 million agreement to supply its Iron Fist Active Protection System for U.S. Army Bradley vehicles, with work scheduled over the next three years.
Iron Fist is a hard-kill defense system built to intercept incoming threats before impact. It offers full-surround coverage while maintaining a compact footprint, allowing armored vehicles to operate effectively in both open terrain and urban combat zones.
The system is designed to counter modern battlefield dangers such as anti-tank rockets, guided missiles, drones, loitering munitions, and high-velocity tank rounds. Its design prioritizes protection without significantly increasing vehicle weight or power demands.
This award follows an earlier contract announced in 2024 and represents the third time the U.S. Army has selected Iron Fist.
Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis, President and CEO of Elbit Systems, said, "Our globally recognized Active Protection System continues to demonstrate its technological edge. As a leading provider in this field, we are proud of our close and strategic partnership with GD-OTS and the U.S. Army, and of the trust placed in us to deliver systems that enhance survivability and protect the lives of American troops in the field."
Additional Defense Wins
The Bradley program builds on Elbit's recent momentum abroad, including new helicopter platform contracts in the Asia-Pacific region that expand its footprint beyond ground-based systems.
ESLT Price Action: Elbit Systems shares were down 0.45% at $715.76 during premarket trading on Monday. The stock is trading near its 52-week high of $737.51, according to Benzinga Pro data.
