Defiance ETFs is turning up the leverage dial on Nokia just days ahead of the telecom giant's earnings report.
Defiance ETFs on Jan 21, announced the launch of the Defiance Daily Target 2X Long NOK ETF (BATS:LNOK), expanding its suite of single-stock leveraged ETFs aimed at active traders seeking magnified exposure to global telecommunications and networking leaders.
LNOK is designed to deliver 200% of the daily percentage change in shares of Nokia Oyj (NYSE:NOK), allowing traders to express short-term bullish views through the accessibility of an ETF. Like other daily leveraged products, LNOK does not seek to achieve its investment objective beyond a single trading session.
Earnings Catalyst Drives Near-Term Focus
The ETF launch comes ahead of Nokia's fourth-quarter 2025 earnings report, scheduled for Thursday. Shares of Nokia closed 4.15% higher on Friday, supported by positive sentiment and growing market optimism.
Nokia currently trades at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 18.7, per Benzinga Pro, a valuation buoyed by recent strategic shifts, partnerships, and improving growth expectations.
Cloud Partnerships, Analyst Upgrades Strengthen Growth Narrative
Investor confidence has been bolstered by Nokia's recent partnership with Proximus, which focuses on modernizing key systems to support next-generation business models. The collaboration deepens Nokia's presence in cloud-native and software-driven telecom infrastructure, areas seeing rising demand from enterprises and governments.
Wall Street sentiment has also turned more constructive. Last week, Morgan Stanley upgraded Nokia to "Overweight," citing the company's leaner cost structure and expanding exposure to the data center market. The brokerage raised its price target, signaling expectations for stronger operational performance.
EU Policy Shifts Could Open New Doors
Broader regulatory developments may further support Nokia's outlook. As the European Union moves to phase out technology from high-risk vendors, Nokia could benefit from potential market-share gains.
Against this backdrop of earnings catalysts, analyst optimism, and regulatory tailwinds, LNOK offers traders a new tool to pursue amplified, short-term upside in Nokia. While leveraged ETFs carry higher risk and require active management, LNOK arrives at a moment when bullish conviction around Nokia appears to be building.
