Elon Musk-led Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) has revealed the first production version of the Cybercab, which will be priced at $30,000.

Tesla Rolls Of Cybercab

In a post on the social media platform X on Tuesday, the automaker announced that it had produced the first unit of the Cybercab at the Gigafactory in Texas. "Congratulations to the Tesla team on making the first production Cybercab!" Musk said in a post, hailing the milestone.

Elon Musk Confirms $30K Price Tag

Interestingly, YouTuber Marques Brownlee, aka MKBHD, had, in October 2024, shared his doubts about Musk's claims that the EV giant would be able to offer the Cybercab at a $30,000 price tag to customers. "If they do, I’ll shave my head on camera — I’m that confident it won’t happen," he said in a video.

However, Musk has seemingly confirmed that the Cybercab would be available to customers for that price. Influencer Dillon Loomis asked Musk whether he was confirming that Tesla would "sell a Cybercab to a customer for $30k or less" by 2027. Musk, in his response, confirmed that it was the case. "Yes," he said.

Cybercab's April Goal, Robotaxi Crashes

The news comes as Musk had earlier reaffirmed the April production target for the Cybercab, which would have no steering wheel and pedals, also sharing that the production would initially be slow because the automaker's manufacturing process was different compared to its previous models, but added that it would ramp up soon after.

Meanwhile, doubts have emerged over Tesla's Robotaxi ambitions as the company, in recent filings, reported five additional crashes of its Robotaxis in Austin during January 2026, taking the total number of incidents reported to 14. Tesla's FSD technology has also raised concern after an owner showed multiple videos of their Tesla vehicle on FSD almost driving into a lake.

Benzinga Edge Rankings show that Tesla scores well on the Momentum metric and offers a favorable price trend in the Long Term.

Price Action: TSLA slid 1.63% to $410.63 at Market close on Tuesday, but surged 0.28% to $411.76 during the overnight session.
