Quantum Cyber shares rise after subsidiary secures $2.1 million in new orders (QUCY)

By Fiona Craig | July 16, 2026, 8:44 AM

Quantum Cyber N.V. (NASDAQ:QUCY) shares gained around 4% after the company announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Quantum Drones Corporation, had secured approximately $2.09 million in purchase orders linked to a recently acquired manufacturing facility.

The orders were transferred to Quantum Drones as part of the acquisition of a 50,000-square-foot production site, providing the company with an immediate backlog as it expands its manufacturing operations.

Acquisition supports domestic production strategy

According to Quantum Cyber, the new facility is expected to play a central role in shifting production of its autonomous defence systems to the United States.

The company develops AI-powered autonomous defence technologies, including integrated platforms designed for drone warfare, counter-unmanned aerial systems (counter-UAS) and border security applications.

By bringing manufacturing in-house, Quantum Cyber aims to strengthen its production capabilities while supporting future growth in the domestic defence market.

Existing order backlog provides early momentum

Management said the approximately $2.09 million in purchase orders were assumed as part of the facility acquisition, giving Quantum Drones an initial pipeline of work as operations ramp up.

The company believes the manufacturing site will become a key production hub for its expanding portfolio of autonomous defence platforms and help support long-term growth in U.S.-based manufacturing.
