Stocks Mixed Midday as Crude Continues to Climb

Stocks are a mixed bag this afternoon, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) up triple digits after reversing this morning's losses. The Nasdaq Composite (IXIC) remains down roughly 30 points despite a surging Super Micro Computer (SMCI), while the S&P 500 Index (SPX) inches into the black. Crude prices are extending their gains, with West Texas Intermediate (WTI) last seen above $86 per barrel after Secretary of State Mark Rubio said Iran was not serious about making a deal with the U.S.

Anheuser-Busch Inbev (NYSE:BUD) stock is seeing a plethora of attention in the options pits, with 3,365 calls and 3,374 puts exchanged -- seven times the average daily volume. Most of this action looks to be spread activity at the weekly 8/7 84-strike call and 81-strike put, with opening activity detected. BUD is attempting to overtake its late-June, six-year highs, up 20% year-over-year.

Coeur Mining, Inc (NYSE:CDE) is one of the New York Stock Exchange's (NYSE) best performers today, up 5.8% to trade at $16.19 at last check. The shares are climbing alongside metal stocks for a second session, and looking to break above $16, a level not conquered in two weeks. Despite today's jump, CDE remains down 9.5% year-to-date.

One of the worst names on the NYSE today is Teladoc Health Inc (NYSE:TDOC), last seen down 7% to trade at $9. While the catalyst for today's pullback is unclear, the virtual healthcare name is slated for its Q2 report, due out in exactly one week. The $9 level has moved in as continued floor of support, with TDOC maintaining a health 28% lead for 2026.
