Edible Garden (NASDAQ:EDBL) has expanded its partnership with a major Midwest big-box retailer through a new multi-year private label supply agreement that extends through the end of 2028, strengthening its retail footprint and supporting its controlled environment agriculture growth strategy.
Edible Garden announced an expanded multi-year supply agreement with a major Midwest big-box retailer that extends an existing relationship through the end of 2028.
The agreement significantly broadens the retailer’s private label fresh herb program across the Midwest and includes more than 20 fresh herbs and specialty products spanning multiple categories.
According to the company, the program will be supported by its controlled environment agriculture network and Midwest operations in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Webster City, Iowa. Edible Garden said these facilities, together with its contract grower network, are intended to provide consistent year-round supply while maintaining product quality and food safety standards.
The company also highlighted its proprietary GreenThumb 2.0 software platform, which is used to optimize growing conditions and improve production efficiency across its operations.
The agreement further strengthens Edible Garden’s base of recurring retail business by extending a relationship with a major customer for more than two additional years. Long-term supply agreements may improve revenue visibility while reinforcing the company’s position within the private label produce market.
The expanded program also aligns with Edible Garden’s strategy of leveraging its controlled environment agriculture infrastructure and distribution network to serve larger retail customers. Increased utilization of existing production assets could support operational efficiency as the company continues expanding its Midwest footprint.
In addition, management linked the agreement to its broader Farm-to-Formula strategy, which includes developing higher-margin ready-to-drink nutrition products. While the retail agreement primarily relates to fresh produce, it reflects the company’s effort to strengthen commercial relationships that may support future product expansion.
