Molson Coors Beverage Co. (NYSE:TAP) reported second-quarter results that came in ahead of Wall Street expectations, supported by a modest earnings beat, while reaffirming its financial outlook for the full year despite a challenging operating environment.

Adjusted earnings per share reached $1.58, exceeding analysts’ consensus estimate of $1.52. Revenue totaled $3.1 billion, narrowly ahead of the market forecast of $3.09 billion, although it declined 3.3% compared with the same period last year.

Company reaffirms 2026 guidance

Molson Coors left its full-year 2026 outlook unchanged, continuing to expect net sales to be broadly flat, plus or minus 1% versus 2025 on a constant currency basis.

The brewer also maintained its forecast for underlying earnings per share to decline between 11% and 15% from last year. The midpoint of the range implies a decline of approximately 13%.

Profitability pressured despite strategic progress

President and Chief Executive Officer Rahul Goyal said, “We made progress on key aspects of the Horizon 2030 strategy in the second quarter as we navigated heightened global macroeconomic headwinds that affected both consumer behavior and key input costs in our business.”

GAAP net income attributable to Molson Coors totaled $231.7 million, or $1.23 per diluted share.

Underlying income before income taxes fell 27.8% on a constant currency basis to $383.2 million, while adjusted diluted earnings per share declined 22.9% compared with the prior-year quarter.

Premium brands continue to support performance

The company highlighted continued strength from brands including Coors Banquet and Peroni, while Fever-Tree and Monaco Cocktails also contributed positively after completing their first full quarter as part of the Molson Coors portfolio.

Management said the company remains focused on implementing cost-saving initiatives designed to offset the impact of macroeconomic uncertainty and rising operating costs.
