V2X Inc. (NYSE:VVX) shares rose 1.6% on Monday after the defence services company announced that it had secured a major logistics contract from the U.S. Marine Corps Logistics Command with a potential value of up to $500 million.

The award carries an initial base value of approximately $391 million and could increase to the $500 million contract ceiling if all available option periods are exercised.

Under the agreement, V2X will deliver Logistics Integration Support Services for the Marine Force Storage Command’s Secondary Repairable program, extending the company’s long-standing relationship with the Marine Corps.

V2X to manage mission-critical repair and sustainment

The contract will see V2X coordinate repair and sustainment activities for secondary repairable components used throughout the Marine Corps logistics network.

The company will work alongside original equipment manufacturers, military depots and other industry partners to oversee the repair and management of mission-essential components.

The programme is designed to help maintain equipment availability while improving the efficiency of the repair process across the Marine Corps’ broader logistics enterprise.

“Readiness begins with sustainment, and V2X is proud to continue supporting the U.S. Marine Corps with integrated logistics solutions that keep critical equipment mission ready,” commented Jeremy C. Wensinger, President and Chief Executive Officer of V2X.

Contract extends two-decade Marine Corps relationship

V2X has supported the Marine Corps’ Secondary Repairable, or SECREP, programme for more than 20 years.

During that period, the company has provided logistics services focused on reducing costs, shortening repair cycle times and improving the availability of critical military equipment.

The latest award extends that established relationship while providing V2X with significant potential revenue visibility through the contract’s base period and available options.

Award strengthens V2X logistics portfolio

The Marine Corps contract adds to V2X’s portfolio of integrated logistics and sustainment programmes supporting military and government customers around the world.

The company combines engineering expertise, supply chain management and mission support capabilities to provide services intended to improve operational readiness and equipment availability.

With a base value of approximately $391 million and potential value of up to $500 million, the latest award further strengthens V2X’s position in the defence logistics market while building on more than two decades of experience supporting the Marine Corps programme.
