A Big Tech rotation led by Alphabet (GOOGL) also dented investor sentiment, with the Dow and Nasdaq suffering triple-digit drops. Elsewhere, existing home sales showed a second-straight monthly drop in July, as prices and borrowing rates continued to rise.
