Faraday Future posts record Q2 revenue as debt falls by more than $100 million

Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ:FFAI) reported record revenue for the second quarter of 2026 while reducing total debt by more than $100 million year-on-year, according to a weekly investor update from founder and Global CEO YT Jia.

The electric vehicle and robotics company also highlighted improving performance from its robotics operations, which generated an average gross margin of more than 30% during the first half of the year.

However, Faraday Future said its overall financial position remains challenging, with legacy automotive debt, depreciation and amortisation expenses and fixed operating costs continuing to outweigh the gross profit currently generated by the robotics business.

Debt reduction programme planned for second half

Faraday Future intends to launch a further debt reduction programme during the second half of 2026 as it works to improve its balance sheet and financial flexibility.

The company is also evaluating independent financing options for its robotics operations and is considering a potential separate listing of the business.

Such a move could provide the robotics division with its own access to capital while creating a clearer distinction between the company’s developing robotics activities and its capital-intensive automotive operations.

Robotics business targets 2,000 cumulative sales

Faraday Future is aiming to reach 2,000 cumulative robot sales and shipments by the end of 2026 as it seeks to expand the commercial footprint of its robotics platform.

The company also plans to accumulate 50,000 hours of real-world robotics data during the year, providing information that could be used to develop and improve its technology.

Its other year-end objectives include expanding its developer community to 200 individuals and organisations and creating 100 robotics skills.

The targets underline Faraday Future’s effort to build an ecosystem around the robotics operation rather than relying solely on hardware sales.

“Built in USA” strategy advances across seven robot models

The company is progressing a “Built in USA” programme covering seven FCC-certified robot models across three separate product series.

As part of the commercial expansion, Faraday Future plans partner recruitment conferences on August 26 and September 28.

The company is also increasing its engagement with institutional investors. Jerry Wang represented Faraday Future at the 2026 J.P. Morgan industry conference in New York, where he presented to an audience of more than 500 investors.

Automotive operations remain in transition

Faraday Future said its automotive business continues to operate in an investment and product-transition phase, meaning significant spending is still required as the company develops its broader strategy.

Despite the record second-quarter revenue and substantial year-on-year debt reduction, the company’s financial outlook continues to carry material risks.

Faraday Future identified its ability to remain a going concern, repay outstanding financial obligations and secure sufficient additional financing among the key uncertainties surrounding its future performance.

The development of the higher-margin robotics business and the planned second-half debt reduction programme could therefore become increasingly important as the company works to strengthen its financial position.
