Bimergen Energy shares rise after Q2 revenue reaches $7.9 million

Bimergen Energy Corporation (AMEX:BESS) shares gained 3.01% in after-hours trading on Monday after the energy infrastructure developer reported second-quarter revenue of $7.9 million and adjusted earnings of $0.22 per share, supported by transactions involving battery energy storage projects.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Bimergen generated net income of $1.6 million and adjusted EBITDA of $3.9 million.

The company said it has received $11 million in cash to date in connection with revenue recognised during the second quarter, strengthening its financial position as it continues developing its battery storage portfolio.

Additional project payments expected

Bimergen expects to recognise another $2.6 million of revenue during the third quarter related to a project transaction that closed on July 15, 2026.

The company is also due to receive an additional $2.5 million payment once the relevant joint venture reaches the notice-to-proceed milestone.

“This last quarter marks an important milestone for Bimergen as we continue to execute our strategy,” said Bob Brilon, Co-CEO of Bimergen Energy. “We have received $11 million in cash for our efforts to date, have a $2.5 million in accounts receivable, and while retaining ownership.”

The transactions therefore provide Bimergen with immediate cash proceeds while allowing it to maintain an economic interest in the underlying projects.

Bimergen retains 7.5% stake in three projects

As part of the consideration received through the transactions, Bimergen secured a 7.5% equity interest in three battery energy storage projects.

Management expects those stakes to generate additional long-term value as the developments progress towards commercial operation.

Bimergen provisionally recognised $500,000 for the equity interests during the second quarter. However, the company expects the appraised fair market value of the stakes to ultimately exceed that amount.

The retained ownership gives Bimergen potential exposure to future project economics in addition to the cash and revenue already generated from the transactions.

Battery storage assets target power market opportunities

Once operational, the battery energy storage projects are expected to generate revenue by taking advantage of differences in electricity prices throughout the day.

The facilities are designed to purchase and store electricity during lower-priced periods before selling power back to the grid when market prices are higher.

This model could provide recurring revenue opportunities once the projects enter operation, while Bimergen’s retained equity stakes give the company continued participation in their potential future value.

Following the second-quarter transactions, investors will be watching the expected $2.6 million of additional third-quarter revenue, the $2.5 million milestone payment and progress towards bringing the battery storage projects into operation.
