Rocket One Launches Swarm Stage AI for U.S. Military Drone-Threat Training

Rocket One Inc. (NASDAQ:RKTO) has launched Swarm Stage AI, a drone-swarm threat-emulation platform designed for counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) training, testing and evaluation by U.S. military and defence organisations.

The new platform builds on swarm-coordination technology previously deployed in commercial applications capable of synchronising thousands of aircraft simultaneously. Its underlying technology incorporates a library containing more than 2,500 field-tested formations and flight assets.

Swarm Stage AI Simulates Coordinated Drone Threats

Swarm Stage AI is designed to create realistic environments in which military and defence organisations can test their ability to detect, track and respond to coordinated groups of unmanned aircraft.

Its capabilities include large-scale swarm coordination, custom threat scenario development and a 3D mission preview system. The platform also incorporates an AI threat builder that can translate defined threat scenarios into coordinated behaviours involving multiple drones.

Rocket One said the system can support C-UAS training and evaluation across a variety of potential defence applications. The platform is designed, developed and operated in the United States.

“Mass drone attacks are rapidly changing the modern battlefield and creating an entirely new challenge for military defense systems,” said Robb Knie, Chief Executive Officer of Rocket One. “A system designed to detect or defeat a single drone must increasingly be prepared to confront coordinated groups of drones arriving simultaneously.”

Platform Targets Counter-Drone Testing Rather Than Weapons Deployment

Rocket One stressed that Swarm Stage AI is not itself a counter-drone weapon. Instead, it is intended to provide an adversarial testing environment in which existing and emerging C-UAS technologies can be assessed.

Potential applications include evaluating radar and sensor performance, testing drone detection and tracking technologies and examining the effectiveness of command-and-control systems when confronted with coordinated aerial threats.

The platform could therefore allow defence organisations to expose their systems to increasingly complex simulated drone attacks without positioning Swarm Stage AI as the technology responsible for neutralising those threats.

Rocket One Opens Platform to U.S. Defence Organisations

Rocket One is making Swarm Stage AI available for capability briefings, demonstrations and evaluations, as well as potential collaborations with U.S. military organisations, government agencies, defence contractors and authorised testing and training facilities.

The initiative gives Rocket One Inc. (NASDAQ:RKTO) an opportunity to apply its existing swarm-coordination expertise to the growing defence requirement for realistic training against mass drone threats.

However, the company emphasised that making Swarm Stage AI available to the defence sector does not constitute a contract, procurement commitment, endorsement or selection by the U.S. Department of Defense or any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.
