Klarna Group PLC (NYSE:KLAR) stock is near the bottom of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) today, down 20% to trade at $15.54 at last glance. The U.K.-based fintech reported second-quarter earnings of 1 cent per share on $1.04 billion in revenue, both of which topped estimates. A trimmed 2026 revenue outlook is weighing, however, amid news that CFO Niclas Neglen plans to step down in 2027.
KLAR is now down 45% in 2026, heading for its worst single-session decline since a 27% post-earnings selloff on Feb. 19. Prior to today's gap lower, the shares were up in August on what's turned out to be a dead cat bounce, with formidable resistance at their newly-formed 200-day moving average.
There haven't been any analyst adjustments, though some could be imminent. Half of the 20 brokerages in coverage maintain "buy" or better ratings, with zero "sells" on the books. Plus, the consensus 12-month price target of $24.52 is a 55.7% premium from its current perch.
Puts are flying off the shelves this morning. In just the first half hour of trading, over 9,000 puts have changed hands, volume that's 17 times the average intraday amount. The August 15.50 put is leading the way, with new positions bought to open there.
