Asure Software Inc (NASDAQ:ASUR) shares gained 3.1% in Friday premarket trading after the payroll and human resources technology provider announced plans to make its payroll tax solutions available through Amazon Web Services Marketplace from September.
The move will allow Asure to co-sell its Enterprise Payroll Tax and Treasury products to AWS Marketplace’s network of approximately 330,000 enterprise customers, significantly expanding the potential distribution reach of a business that already generates nearly 20% of Asure’s total revenue.
AWS Marketplace expansion aims to simplify enterprise sales
AWS Marketplace enables organisations to find and purchase third-party software using their established AWS relationships and procurement systems. For Asure, joining the platform is expected to reduce purchasing friction while providing greater access to AWS customers and partners.
The company sees the arrangement as an opportunity to accelerate adoption of its payroll tax and treasury products among larger organisations.
“Actively co-selling our Enterprise Payroll Tax and Treasury solutions into 330,000 AWS Marketplace enterprise customers dramatically expands who we can efficiently reach and serve,” said Pat Goepel, Chairman and CEO of Asure. “By combining Asure’s deep enterprise tax and treasury expertise serving some of the world’s greatest brands with the reach and procurement advantages of AWS Marketplace, we create an important new avenue for immediate and long-term growth.”
Asure targets large employers and payroll providers
Asure’s Enterprise Payroll Tax and Treasury solutions are designed for large employers, payroll service providers and HR technology platforms that need to manage payroll tax obligations and the movement of funds.
The company already counts more than a dozen global brands among the customers using its services, providing an established enterprise base as it prepares to broaden distribution through AWS Marketplace.
Asure is working with Labra.io, an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, to implement and manage its marketplace strategy. Labra.io provides technology that helps software companies oversee listings, transactions and co-selling activity through cloud marketplaces.
AWS Marketplace also offers features including streamlined contracting and private offers, which Asure said can help reduce the length and complexity of enterprise software procurement cycles.
The September launch therefore gives Asure another route to market for a growing part of its business, potentially increasing customer reach while making its payroll tax and treasury solutions easier for large enterprises to purchase.
