Soluna and Bitdeer Agree 28 MW Bitcoin Co-Mining Deployment in Texas

By Fiona Craig | August 25, 2026, 9:53 AM

Soluna Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:SLNH) has signed a co-mining agreement with Dory Creek, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bitdeer Technologies Group (NASDAQ:BTDR), covering the deployment of approximately 28 MW of Bitcoin mining equipment at Soluna’s Project Kati 1 data centre in Willacy County, Texas.

Deployment is scheduled to begin in September 2026 and will take place in stages, expanding the computing capacity operating at the wind-powered facility.

Bitdeer to Deploy Sealminer Equipment at Project Kati 1

Under the agreement, Bitdeer will install its Sealminer A2 Pro Air mining machines at the site and will retain ownership and responsibility for operating the equipment.

Soluna will provide the data centre infrastructure, electricity and operational support required for the deployment. Rather than using a conventional hosting arrangement, the companies will share the proceeds generated by the Bitcoin mining operation.

The 28 MW installation is expected to contribute approximately 1.93 EH/s of additional hash rate and will be located within the K1BC phase of Project Kati 1.

Soluna CEO John Belizaire commented on the structure: “Co-mining is a natural extension of that operating history. It puts our track record to work in a structure where we participate more directly in what the infrastructure produces, alongside a partner that builds some of the most capable machines in the industry.”

Project Kati 1 Builds on First Quarterly Gross Profit

Project Kati 1 is an 83 MW wind-powered data centre that achieved its first gross profit during the second quarter of 2026.

The Bitdeer agreement provides another route for Soluna to monetise the facility’s power and infrastructure while giving the company more direct participation in the economics of Bitcoin production.

The co-mining model also expands Soluna’s relationship with mining operators by combining its renewable-powered data centre infrastructure with equipment supplied and operated by Bitdeer.

Soluna Data Centre Portfolio Reaches 192 MW

Soluna currently operates 192 MW of data centre capacity across its portfolio, including Project Sophie in Kentucky and Projects Dorothy 1, Dorothy 2 and Kati 1 in Texas.

A further 14 MW of capacity is under construction at Project Kati 1.

Beyond its existing operations, Soluna reports a development pipeline totalling approximately 6.3 GW across projects at various stages, giving the company a substantial potential expansion platform for energy-intensive computing infrastructure.

The latest Bitdeer deployment adds another large-scale customer arrangement to Project Kati 1 and increases Soluna’s exposure to Bitcoin mining economics as it continues expanding its renewable-powered data centre portfolio.
