SNAPPLE TURNS PETE DAVIDSON AND COLIN JOST'S FAMOUS FERRY INTO NEW YORK CITY'S MOST UNEXPECTED COMEDY CLUB

By PR Newswire | September 01, 2026, 9:00 AM

For one day only, the Snapple Island Ferry will transform a familiar commuter vessel into a free, floating comedy club for New Yorkers who just need a break

NEW YORK, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- On Sept. 17, Snapple will turn Pete Davidson and Colin Jost's famously random John F. Kennedy Staten Island Ferry purchase into the Snapple Island Ferry, a one-day-only, free comedy club built to give New Yorkers an unexpectedly refreshing break from the daily grind.

Snapple Turns Pete Davidson and Colin Jost's Famous Ferry Into New York City's Most Unexpected Comedy Club

As New Yorkers trade summer Fridays for packed fall calendars, Snapple is providing a space to escape their responsibilities and enjoy a break. Hosted by Pete & Colin and produced by The Stand Group, a partner in the ferry and the team behind The Stand Restaurant & Comedy Club, the show will feature sets from some of comedy's fastest rising stars, transforming a familiar commuter vessel into the city's most unexpected place to laugh, sip, and take a break.

"Turning the ferry into a floating comedy club with Snapple makes more sense than anything else we considered, and it still doesn't make much sense," said Pete Davidson. "Either way, we're giving people a chance to take a break, have a laugh, and do something completely ridiculous with us."

Snapple Makes an Ordinary Commuter Ferry Refreshing

What started as one of pop culture's most talked-about celebrity purchases is becoming New York City's most unexpected comedy venue. Because if Pete and Colin can buy a ferry on a whim, Snapple figured the least it could do was make a familiar ferry feel anything but ordinary by turning it into a floating comedy club. A limited number of free tickets will be available for the 60-minute show hosted by Pete and Colin and featuring sets from some of comedy's fastest rising stars.

"The Snapple Island Ferry is a simple idea with a big payoff: take what people already love about Snapple's personality and bring it to life in the real world," said Brad Smith, Vice President Marketing, Stills & Hydration Portfolio, Keurig Dr Pepper. "The brand has always had a refreshingly funny take on the everyday, and comedy gives us a clear way to bring that to life — by giving people a timely, entertaining break from the things they feel like they should be doing."
