Accenture (NYSE:ACN) and Google Cloud (NASDAQ:GOOG) have launched the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group, a new joint initiative designed to help organisations adopt and scale Google’s Gemini Enterprise artificial intelligence platform.
The initiative will draw on Accenture’s existing workforce of nearly 50,000 Google Cloud-skilled professionals while establishing a dedicated team of 1,000 forward deployed engineers. Accenture also plans to broaden Gemini Enterprise training and certification across its workforce as demand for enterprise AI implementation grows.
The companies said the business group is intended to help clients move beyond experimental AI projects and deploy production-ready systems capable of generating measurable business results.
The Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group will concentrate on four main areas, including accelerating adoption through proprietary implementation frameworks and tools and developing industry-specific AI solutions.
It will also establish dedicated capability centres intended to bridge the gap between AI experimentation and large-scale enterprise deployment, while helping organisations increase adoption of capabilities developed using Gemini Enterprise.
Julie Sweet, chair and CEO of Accenture, said: “The Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group will help clients achieve these outcomes faster, bringing together the talent, advanced AI and data capabilities, and industry expertise needed to reinvent with confidence and create value at scale.”
Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, said the initiative “significantly expands the expertise and resources available to help our customers deliver real business value.”
The companies pointed to YouTube as an example of how their existing partnership is already being applied to large-scale operations.
YouTube deployed a Gemini Enterprise agent to help manage elevated demand surrounding NFL Sunday Ticket. According to Accenture and Google Cloud, the implementation increased customer sentiment by 11% while reducing average handling time by 37%.
The example highlights one of the areas the new business group will target: using AI agents to automate and support operational processes during periods of high demand while improving customer experience and efficiency.
The new organisation builds on several existing collaborations between Accenture and Google Cloud, including their Generative and Agentic AI Center of Excellence and Gemini Enterprise Acceleration Program.
Accenture was also named Google Cloud’s 2026 Global Services Partner of the Year for the fourth consecutive year, according to the companies.
Yugal Joshi, partner at Everest Group, said the formation of the business group “reflects an evolution in how leading service providers are structuring their commitment to Google Cloud AI delivery.”
He added that the initiative responds to “growing buyer demand for partners that can support AI-led growth and translate AI investments into production-grade outcomes.”
By combining a dedicated engineering workforce, industry-specific expertise and expanded Gemini Enterprise training, Accenture and Google Cloud are seeking to accelerate the transition from corporate AI experimentation towards broader production deployments and measurable commercial applications.
